I've read every Lee Child book that exists. Then I went through every Robert Crais book. Hungry to find another author I could get lost in I discovered Robert B Parker when I searched for a similar author. I wonder how I never ran across him before. I read The Godwulf Manuscript, his first novel, and now I'm hooked. I highly recommend this author, he brings to life the character of Spenser, and I just read two Jesse Stone novels. I look forward to delving into all of his books. I like that he brings humor into what are otherwise serious topics and you get to know the characters as if they are old friends. I'm sure they were to Mr. Parker.

I have only read 8 chapters in the book at the moment but since it is by Robert Parker and the first book in the Spenser series I know I will love it

I can't read it. It's the smallest print I've ever seen in a paper back book.

Pretty crude. Lots of swearing not necessarily to advance plot.
