I would highly recommend this book as the very 1st resource material to anyone considering flower farming whether to sell fresh cut flowers, dried flowers, and even to other fresh farmed/grown marketplace goods. I found it in a list of top books anyone considering flower farming should read and I'm thrilled that I did. I've been gardening for years and learning along the way, and outside of personal experience and trial and error, I've learned more from this little book than anything else I've read. She doesn't just tell you what to do or not to do, she tells you why. It's full of wonderful practical tips and guidance, and loads of reference material on where to find more resources and products based on her years of experience. I can't begin to explain it well enough, you MUST READ it for yourself.Read full review

I'm starting a home business raising field flowers to sell to florists, retailers and directly to customers. This book was everything I could have hoped for in the way of inspiration, encouragement, and practical information on how to get the business started. So much is packed into 200 pages: getting started costs & start-up materials needed, choosing varieties to grow, site selection, starting or buying plants, tips on methods for growing in the field, chapters on dried flower production,on "woodies",harvest, post-harvest, arranging, & marketing. There's a sources and resources section in the back of the book also. One of my best beginning business purchases and sure to be a reference along the way.
Nice book on flower growing.
