This is a really great book that has very detailed and practical information about general nutrition. It helps you evaluate the foods you're eating/buying and rates lots of common house-hold foods - giving detailed nutritional information - so that you can determine what is the best food for you and your family to maintain a healthily balanced diet. It also gives info on eating vegitarian, vegitarian diets for young people, lots, lots more!
I was suggested this book by our naturopathic doctor, and its awesome. Goes into all the super foods, necessary nutrients and what foods to get them from and of course advocating breastfeeding which earns points in my book any day. GO BREASTMILK! We've had our copy for about 4 years and we're always referencing it. I actually purchased the half.com copy for a friend whose expecting. Enjoy!
