This book can save your life
Nutrients defined in detail and backed up by studies. Once you commit and get used to it it's easy and satisfying. I was close to going on glucose medication but after two weeks I'm in the normal range. I can follow this for life. It's near dinner time so I'm getting ready to have a large salad, large bowl cooked mixed vegetables, one cup pinto beans and an ounce of nuts. Follow it and it will do for you just what Dr, Fuhrman says it will do. And that includes a lot more than lowering glucose. Thanks Dr, Fuhrman.

Clear, concise and compelling!
Very easy to understand and follow as well as being a very effective way to reverse diabetes. Highly recommend this book but you DO have to be ready to make a drastic change in the way you eat. Definitely not the popular American way of eating!!

I would pass on this book and watch his youtube videos.
I bought this to help my mother manage her type 2 diabetes. Dr. Fuhrman leans heavily toward a plant based/vegetarian approach. Although there is protein in plants, all plants come with carbs which spike sugar readings. He is ok with spikes, believes that is normal. I would agree except that spike trigger insulin release, weight gain and seems to maintain the cycle that is diabetes. There is much debate over how to manage diabetes. My leaning is toward protein, low-glycemic carbs. Doctors agree on both sides of this debate, so choose the plan you can best follow...if you are a vegan you will LOVE this book.
