I HAD BOUGHT THIS BOOK SEVERAL YEARS AGO. BUT ACCIDENTALLY LOST IT WHEN I MOVED. IT WAS DIFFERENT AND BETTER. THE NAMES ARE NOT AS GOOD. BUT THE BOOK IS WHAT I WANTED.

The step of choosing a babies name really is a step that lasts a lifetime or more. One has to think on the name , understand it origin and meaning. No one wishes to name thier baby Pansy when it should have been Georgia or Gloria. My babies were named with the help of this book or a book similar since my baby was born in 1967, and Rodney is a Rodney! The name fits him as does it fit my grandson. The heritage of a name is important also. If your Scottish. Yes, Angus would do but delve into more names you find one that more suited to his heritage. And will fit the child much better. PS. My Uncles name was Angus.

Personally I was not a huge fan of this book. for someone looking for a traditional American name, there are just too many names that aren;t useable. There were also not a lot of the more popular names in this book, I got more use out of my free iphone app than this book.
