THE ONLY COOKBOOK THAT YOU WILL EVER NEED
After watching the American Test Kitchen and trying their recipes for years, I decided to invest in this cookbook. It exceeded all of my expectations. If you follow the recipes, you can't go wrong. The detail is amazing. I admit that you have to be an experienced cook for some of the recipes but no matter what your level in cooking is, this book is well worth the money. I read a review that said the book was not organized, this is not true. All you have to do is look in the index in the back and you can find whatever recipe you are looking for. It has it all.

This book is so ill-put together, it's unbelievable. I really like ATK, and they have some fabulous recipes but... whoever their editor/publisher is, he/she should go back to editing/publishing 101. It is so hard to find a recipe, that once you do stumble upon it, you had better note the page number because you may not find it again. There is not much rhyme or reason as to how the book is laid out and I don't have time to scroll through hundreds of pages looking for something. One big question begs to be asks...why isn't there a search that works? Good: Great recipes Bad: ATK should have put more thought into organizing recipes Ugly: I have given up several times because it is too time consuming to find things Finally, for the price I paid, I'll just have to work with it. I have read reviews that the hard cover book is not any better organized.Read full review

I like to find the recipe in my book as I watch the show cooking it. It has great pictures of the recipes. I was surprised to see it was 1000 pages. It will take me awhile to get thru it. Love the book.
