I had borrowed a copy of this book from the public library, but realized that I need to have the book available daily so I can refer back as I find more questions. After several years of reading every Alzheimer's book I could find, I've become familiar with many of the medical terms. I understand how plaques destroy communication between brain cells. But I did not need to understand HOW the brain works and how disease effects the brain, I needed advise on what to do to defend myself against the disease. Contact me in twenty or thirty years, and I'll tell you whether the book helped, but, for now, I'm following the recommendations in "The Better Brain Book".Read full review
I bought this book after hearing about it on a television show. I specifically bought this after hearing it had a section on MS. My mother has MS and I am willing to read anything that has any treatment or suggestions on the disease. I liked how the book separated each disease and you knew exactly where to look for what you wanted. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for alternative treatments for diseases.
Wanted to improve my brain power. What I liked most about it was the step by step handbook feeling of the book. I disliked the information on all the brain diseases, probably very important but not what I wanted from the book. Yes I would buy the book again.
