The Best of Gourmet series of books contain a complete compendium of last year's recipes from the magazine (for example, 1988 Best of Gourmet contains the recipes from the 1987 monthly magazines). The recipes are organized by meal (i.e., "A Country Breakfast", "A New Year's Brunch for 8", etc.) and beautifully illustrated. The Thanksgiving meal in this particular book is the one that my husband and I have been using since 1987! I wanted to have this book to save for our daughter so that she would have the original source of our family Thanksgiving recipes. Great recipe book. If you collect cook books like we do, this also would be one to add to the collection!
