This is a beautiful book. The art is so wonderfully reproduced and there is so much of it, that it could serve as a coffee table book. For me, it is. It showcases the myriad styles of this relatively new art form from dozens of artists. While it is not a technique manual, there's another one for that, it displays the various artists styles and equipment and their essays explain how they approach drawing on location. I love to pore over the drawings and see how they portrayed one thing or another. My only complaint is that the text is too light, too small and too thin making it very difficult to read. I practically have to use a magnifier or put my face on the page to read it. I know they want to feature the art, but if they're going to put text in, it needs to be readable.
This book is amazing and a must have for anyone who enjoys drawing or who is just starting out. It will keep you busy for months!! Every page is worth spending time on!
