WHE I BUY A COOKBOOK ON A SPECIFIC ETHNIC CUISINE IT SHOULD CONTAIN INFORMATION ABOUT THE CULTURE, DEFINITION OF INGREDIENTS, AND THE RECIPES AS AUTHENTIC AS POSSIBLE. RECENTLY A GROCERY STORY WHICH SELLS MANY MIDDLE EASTERN INGREDIENTS WHICH I HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE. THIS BOOK WAS VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING THE HERBS AND SPICES USED IN THIS CUISINE. I ENJOYED THE RECIPES VERY MUCH, THE TEXTURES. THE WONDERFUL TASTES, AND THE AROMAS OF THE FOOD. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD.

Has every recipe that I couldn't find in a bookstore
I like that a regular person wrote this book and not a chef. I like how it has everyday dishes that you might find if you were to visit and eat at an Arab's house. I wish it had more photos but that is not so important in this case considering I have had most of the recipes.
