True or a Hoax? The Amityville Horror, was just the begining, many a book has since been published, from both sides of the fence, and oh so many, many movies. Film, loosely based on the true, but tragic story of the murders committed by Ronald Defao of his family.. Mother, Father, sisters and brothers.. Defao walked from room to room shooting his family members one at a time. Questions are still unanswered as to why each victim to be remained asleep as other victims were shot at point blank range by a shotgun.. Hubby gets it first, Mommy lays beside him undisturbed then she too is shot.. Ronny is convicted of 2nd degree murder.. The family home is sold to the Lutze's Kathy and George this movie is their story of the evil that plagued them.... If it was a hoax, then explain the six loud shots that didn't wake future prior victims?? So many unanswered questions..
