An interesting and dark anime series - while not one of my favorites, it still was interesting and intelligent enough to keep me watching to the end. For those who are interested in a series with a darker tone (be warned that it is a little violent and depressing) with a sci-fi, futuristic background (a lot of the story is based on human body parts being replaced with cybernetic replacements) this is worth looking into. The characters are believable and the animation is pretty good. A little bit like Lain (though not as good or groundbreaking) and Ergo Proxy (which was not as good in my opinion), with a dash of Ghost In the Shell (though it falls short of that groundbreaking pair of films and series), Texhnolyze is definitely recommended for those into that kind of anime.
The series starts off kind of slow. The first episode has less than twelve lines of dialogue. However if you stick with it, it gets better. This show makes you think, so if you don't like trying to figure out what is going on you shouldn't buy it. This series is extremely violent, has mild nudity, and many sexual themes. The story is interesting and complex, which keeps you guessing as you watch it.
REALLY slow start and very confusing on what was going on until the 3 episode.........................................................
I bought the entire series for my brother for his birthday and he really liket it!!! Im just glad he was happy about it!
