Relationship problems? Read this!
I originally purchased this book back in 97 when I was going through a divorce. This book helped me see that I was not alone and that many people had similiar challenges to face. I gained valuable insight and was able to accurately assess my situation and move forward with courage and conviction. I have since loaned out that book and pass out copies frequently to friends and family in similiar situations. Dr Laura pulls no punches, she tells it like it is so if you are of a "victim " or "poor me" mentality. Don't read this, it will piss you off. Otherwise come towards the light my friend! BTW: Be sure to read "Ten Stupid Things Women Do To Mess Up Their Lives" for a flip side of the coin perspective.

Her talk show - in written form
I haven't finished reading the book yet, but so far it is insightful and to-the-point, much as is Dr. Laura's radio talk show. It features many calls from her program as well as helpful lists and commentaries. In all Dr. Laura says and writes, the bottom line is she is pro-family, pro-children.

I really liked this book as well as others from Doctor Laura. Enjoy the read. If you like you will probably like the other books from her collection as well. This was a very quick read. Dr Laura has a new book coming out in Jan 2011.

I think every young men should read this book...look for the women book for the female one. Every young women should read before getting into any serious relationship
