This was affordable for, and, got to me quickly. It works surprisingly-well, though in a part of the U K that's without a local transmitter. The Bluetooth functions smoothly; and the E T M works remarkably well. The model seems to have been improved since earlier ones, one of which I got (at great expense) four or three years ago, for that one literally fell apart This design seems to be amenable to the incorporation of more features, such as the highlighting of MW frequencies that are divisible by 9 kHz, the incorporation of SSB facilities (preferably with a fine-tuner), that of separate (preferably digital) bass and treble controls, an RDS function, a fuller SW frequency-range, a more-comprehensive battery-compartment &c And If this supplier were to make available one-such (at about £80- in the U K), or the latest generation of the PL─365 (at, say, £50-), I'd be interested to buy oneRead full review

Pros: Quality build, nice features and components. Great battery life. Clear reception on FM and AM Bluetooth was problem free. Tuning dial is awesome. Alarm clock works great. Cons: Bluetooth volume is less that radio volume. Could not pick up one SW station. Ordered an antenna to see if this improves. Didn’t come with USB cord. All in all I’m very happy with the purchase.

The stereo speakers sound adequate and, combined with the size of the enclosure and the length of the antenna, provide clear reception. The Bluetooth capabilities are basic, but adequate for my needs. I pair it with my smart phone and enjoy music and radio programs on my smart phone. Pairing with a smart phone is adequate for modern usage. If you have a TECSUN radio, it will work fine. But even if you don't have one, operation is simple and straightforward. I will say that the hand strap is located near the antenna connector, which is a bit annoying. Volume controls 5 and 6 vary the volume quite a bit. This takes some getting used to. It is often overshadowed by the PL398MP, but it is an excellent product and I would recommend the PL398BT if you can find it, even if the PL398MP is an option.Read full review

Fantastic reception and the headphone experience is better than ANY radio I have used - and, I own around 60 radios. The Bluetooth feature is great too. You cannot find many handhelf STEREO portable radios. That's why I bought this lil' monster. No, it doesn't have great speakers/audio. But I don't really care. I bought it for it's DXing capabilities (the AM/FM is fantastic!) and it's just super cool. Love it - hell, I just might buy another one just to have an extra.

Is it because it is a radio made with a dsp chip? In Baekseok-myeon, Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, where I live, Reception is not good. The reception rate is better than the dsp radio installed in smartphones. BUT.., Gold Star (LG) pocket radio with polybaricon produced in the 1980s Reception is very poor by comparison.
