I just got Technic Beat in the mail and it's incredible. It looks and feels like it was pulled from an arcade. I love how there are so many different modes and features, it's definitely a game you just toss in and start playing. The tutorial is spot on perfect and much easier to comprehend than the manual (despite the cute drawings in it). Matched with challenge mode, learning the tricks on how to play was really easy! My main complaint is that the music selection screen is a pain. The songs don't offer a preview of what gameplay will sound like, so you have to remember the titles of the songs you enjoyed playing. Also, when you play a song, it can't be selected again in arcade mode until you start a new game. Plus it seems some songs are only playable in arcade at certain stages when the tension meter goal is harder to reach, requiring a lot of skill to pass the song. As for the music on the song list, several of the tunes are very catchy and rememberable, however others just feel like background music. I love how they included the ability to control the pitch of the song in real-time though. It kinda counteracts this problem and allows you to take more control of what you're hearing. Overall though, the game is very challenging, and will require a lot of practice to get better. Sadly though I think it has limited appeal because of how childish the graphics come off as, tied with it's video game genre. It may only appeal to those who have played music games before, or to those who are looking for something different to try.Read full review
My Daughter has poor hand eye coordination and this game definately takes some. The characters are cute and music okay. The graphics are awsome
This is very good for young kids but not pre teans- This provides fun and excercise. I would recommend to anyone with young kids.
This product was very outdated....didn't know that when I bid on it. Thought it would be like other playstaion games, but it really doesn't do much.
