I use this amp with very efficient Coincident Victory II speakers. The Teac is not ideal. The Coincidents are meant to be used with a warm, tube amp. However, I have so much audio equipment, I am tired of spending lots of money on separates. These days, I stream my music due to convenience. The Teac has almost too much power to drive my speakers. Sound can be “tinny” and artificial and Bluetooth occasionally cuts out, even when my iPad is a few feet away. Connecting my iPad utilizing the USB port on the back of the Teac is futile. Sound simply comes out the horrific iPad speakers. I need to attach my MacBook to see if Foobar2000 will supply audiophile sound. For now, the Teac allows me to enjoy music, but don’t expect audiophile sound. That would involve using at least a thousand dollar integrated amp (like my Myryad M240) and an Audioengine B1 to stream. Even better, use a great DAC. However, I didn’t want to spend the money and wanted small and compact. The Teac fits that bill.Read full review
