2005 TM TP RAC CB - an iron that when well struck will give the buttery smooth feel that all golfers crave. If you've never hit a forged blade type iron but always wanted to try it this would be a great place to begin. A little about me. I started this lovely game at the ripe old age of 6 and I'm well past 50 now. Tried the pro thing but not good enough. I've played all types of irons from shovels to the razor thin Mizzies and Hogans. In their time no one could touch a Texas forged Hogan. The TM is smooth as butter with the proper shaft and swing. I play the Rife 5.5. Beware: at first this iron is not for the faint of heart. Inconsistent swings will make you feel like a beginner but a well executed swing will leave you coming back for more. Thin topline and small head size give you confidence standing over the ball, not like the shovels that are the game improvement clubs of today. Sorry you will never improve using those type of clubs. If you can pick a set up relatively inexpensive, give them a try. Your game will thank you for it. Not right away, but soon and for the rest of your life.Read full review
I have played 2 rounds with these clubs and let me tell you these are the best feeling irons I have ever played. This is not for rookies! You must have good ball striking and know what you are doing. I was using Taylor Made LT RAC irons and going back to a blade look and feel has really worked out great. I can draw or fade the ball with ease. I will continue to play these irons until someone can prove me wrong. You know when you miss hit and the distance control is Excellent!! Has a great look and feel with workability. What more could you ask for. (when you are over the ball these add confidence) TAYLOR MADE RAC TP CB/MB Irons #1!!
I bought these irons because i was considering a set of the Miura brand Irons, and wanted to see if the forge was hype or not. These came with the x-stiff 100 shafts, and the feel and workability of these clubs is phenomenal. The satin finish differentiates these from the chromed racs, and you will see lots of bag chatter on the soles, they are so soft. Only 1,000 sets made, sometimes you can find a bargain price. I have been a Mizuno player for years, but these are superior.
These are the easiest to hit, most consistant forged irons I have ever played. I have the Dynamic Gold s300s, I am thinking of installing Project X shafts (after hitting a set of LTs with Project X shafts). I switched from Mizuno MP32s to these and it was the best decision I have made in a very long time.
Great set... Love the cavity back long irons and muscle back/blade irons. Hit smoothly and go straight (most of the time)
