The head is fairly light (mine weighs 199g)and it took a bit of getting used to. I shafted it with an extra stiff Aldila Voodoo at 46". The sweet spot seems to be a bit nearer the hosel than I am used to. So, at first, I was hitting too close to the toe and losing some distance. After I got used to it, it added about 10 to 15 yards to my overall driving distance, which for me, put an iron in my hands instead of my hybrid on the longer holes.
I tried a friend's Superfast and really liked it. At the time, I was playing with a Taylormade TP Burner, which is a good club too. I started looking on EBAY for a Superfast and I couldn't believe my luck when I found just what I wanted on the first search. My friend did not have the TP but I knew I wanted that because of my Burner experiance, and I wanted an 8.5 degree (it gives me a Tour-like boring trajectory) and a regular flex (to match my age). What I did not expect is the wonderful Fujikura Motore F1 55shaft. I had never heard of it so I did some investigating before I purchased and ,believe me, it is everything Fujikura says it is. It really adds a surge of speed at the right time and I have made no swing changes. My drives are averaging 10=20 yds longer with the same accuracy. I checked the cost of a TP Superfast at a local golf retailer and I purchased mine for almost half the price. Yes, I am a happy golferRead full review
Wow. What a club! I had a Taylormade '07 Tour Burner 9.5 with a stiff shaft. Bought this one with 9.5 with a regular shaft. Due to it's very light weight I was cautious not to try too stiff a shaft and I sure picked the right one for me. I played yesterday and hit 12 of 14 fairways. Hit the two longest drives I've ever hit in my life and all drives were 15 to 30 yards longer than old driver. Even off center strikes produce great distance and control. All this and it was 55 degrees outside and windy. I can't wait to hit this thing when it's warm again and calm winds. I absolutely LOVE it and encourage anyone looking for a new "weapon" to give it a try. You won't be sorry you did. I'm 58 yrs old and have Never hit 290 yard drives until yesterday.
this is driver fabulous; giant sweet spot and forgiveness . after playing for 8 years with a 300cc driver calloway GB berta hawkeye and hitting 260-290 yd drives most of the time, the biggest change for me was the control and consistent yardage. the first ten balls hit at the driving range landed 280-310 clearing or bouncing the rear fence. Best part was there no more than 5 yards from my center line. With practice, this driver should reduce my score 3-5 swings per round. My suggestion, but one, but make sure to get the right staff for your swing. the stiff flex staff was perfect for my 102-112 swing speed.
I bought this club after reading good reviews on various golf sites. The club has given me an extra 20 yards on my drive, i have recently reached a couple of par fours on my local course one of which is 339 yards that where previously out of range. The head shape really does slip through the air promoting a faster head speed at impact. The triangular shaped head sits squarely at address promoting confidence and produces a satisfying sound when struck. This club goes a long way when struck well but is not very forgiving if you occasionally hook or slice the ball then it will go further off line with this club. I would recommend the Taylormade Burner Superfast TP to any golfer who hits a consistent drive but is looking for a bit more distance.
