I have fostered dogs over the years. This food has been recommended to me for breeds with sensitive stomachs and allergies. I keep it in a large sealed plastic container and use it for all dogs now as it is so well tolerated. I have not found a dog to turn up their nose to it yet. Leopard hunting dog to taco bell purse dog. I have two beautiful labs that are my personal babies that came to me with discharge in their eyes and sneezing. Less than a week on this food and their eyes and noses cleared right up. I don't sell this food, get a kick back or anything. I am not breeder or a puppy mill. I am just a person who has had dogs hang out at my home until they found a new one. Oh and as to cost, it is very affordable compared to other brands, especially for the amount and quality. Usually I buy it at a feed store that is local. It is less expensive than a vet diet or high priced food at the pet store as I have priced it out to keep my cost down. I would consider it dog, owner and care taker approved.Read full review

The price is extreme for a dog food that loses it's appeal so early after opening the bag. I can get the same reaction from my dogs by using a cheaper brand so why spend more? Does it make us think we're buying quality just because the product is expensive? I don't think we're getting our money's worth with Taste of the Wild.

I have a 3 year old female bully breed who I've had since she was 3 months old. She is the most sensitive dog I've ever owned as far as allergies and having a weak tummy, and she's also an extremely picky eater. I've had her on bottom of the barrel foods to very high end foods(Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Kibbles and Bits, Pedigree, Purina Pro Plan Shredded Blend, Eukanuba Adult Maintenance, Royal Canin Adult, Nutri Source Pure Vita) and with every one of them she'll eat it for about the first week, then she'll only eat every other day, to completely stops eating it at all. I was beginning to think that this was just the way she was going to be until I tried Taste of the Wild. We are nearing the end of a 30 pound bag and she's still eating her food every day! She looks great, her coat is shiny, she's at a healthy weight, and I can't be any happier! Our first bag we tried was the High Prairie formula and for our second bag I have ordered the Sierra Mountain formula to try, I hope to switch around within the lines different flavors so she doesn't get bored. It is a little on the expensive side but I shop around online and can usually find it for a little less. I highly recommend Taste of the Wild dog food.Read full review
