This is the second Targus Lap Chill Mat I've purchased. They're great. The fan is quiet and the platform opens up to allow for more breeze and an angled typing position. The first one I bought was about 5 years ago. It's still as sturdy as this new one I recently purchased. I searched for the exact model and was happy to have found it. I would HIGHLY recommend this product! Love it!

My only complaint, but it is significant, is that the unit does not stay in place easily when you adjust it to the higher height. The turn knob does not hook or snap into place when standing so it easily moves out of place especially if you try to stand up, carry your laptop on it across the room or move. That being said, compared to the price of other units out there, it is a good value and the fans are not nearly as noisy as the last one I owned which I think I bought for $19.99 in the store. I had to get rid of that one it was so noisy and it did not adjust.

The good: unlike so many other cooling pads, this one doesn't have feet on the bottom, so it won't dig into my legs when I'm using it on my lap. The bad: the packaging says it fits laptops up to 17". Mine has a 15.6" screen and is thus about 15" wide, and it overlaps about 1/4" on each side. But the good outweighs the bad, and I'm happy with it.

this is a nice product in fact I have bought 3 of these the fans work great in them and they are light and comfortable on my lap. I have had several other brands and I did not like them at all. I will always but this brand. its not made out of cheap plastic.
