I've been a TAMA guy since the 80's. I recently started gigging again and I was updating my equipment. Bought a Ludwig snare stand, after a month bought a TAMA. Bought a PEARL hihat stand, left it home and I STILL use my TITAN hihat stand from the 80's for my gigs EVERY weekend. I have my old TITAN boom stand holding my ride on my practice set at home. I purchased a new SJC custom kit and needed a tom holder, so I decided to purchase this combo to keep my travel set up to a minimum. I LOVE IT. This new combo stand in the best of both worlds. Legs are HEAVY DUTY like the vintage TITAN's, but it's not TOO heavy for travel. The tom holder and cymbal mounts are both infinitely adjustable, which is a plus for those extremely picky drummers that need their set up in the precise position. Titan make a cheaper model, but spend the extra doe for this one. You won't be disappointed!Read full review

These stands are amazing! I chose to go with the advanced over the regular tom stands because of the need for modularity. These stands provide exactly what I was looking for in how they allow tons of options in adjustment and this opens up plenty of room in positioning or placement. They are very high grade and have a good bit of weight to them; enough for you to mount any tom and be perfectly fine without them tipping over. The base wide enough to expand your foot print and modular and sturdy enough to minimize it. All I can say is that Tama got it right with these without having to go with the Star version. I use them on both my Starclassic kits; Maple and B/B in a 2 or 3 up 1 down configuration.
