I purchased this DVD thinking it would be along the same lines as the remake of "The Last of The Mohicans" in the 1990's. The producers tried to fit to much into the time for the dvd so the story line jumps all around. The lead actor playing the Pathfinder didn't do as good of a job as I thought he could. I also own the 1950's VHS versions of "THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS" and "PATHFINDER". The 1950's version of the PATHFINDER is much better than the 2006 version. My best and favorite dvd's, I keep in my portable dvd case to take to powwows and festivals. The Pathfinder dvd will be sitting at home on the shelf. It's a dog of a movie. A small dog at that.
Great story, terrific actors, interesting

This production was put together in a TV style format. It was a fairly decent movie but it had it's hollywood stage moments where the scene was a little to average for example the storm at sea. It looked like buckets of water was being tossed around at the actors and the violent sea wind was unable to blow their hats off. The movie was overall okay. I only bought Path Finder because I like Graham Green.
This is a great movie, I'm have Native American boold and like all Native movies because it shows me what it may have been like if I lived at that time of life. This is a great movie for someone who is looking for a gift too. This movie does not have all the drama of the real world and lets see Native American Life. The real world.
Doesn't even come close to " Last Of The Mohicans". The cast selection was horrible, the filming was amatuer-ish, and it was apparent no one had read the Leatherstocking Tales and had a feel for the charactors and settings. Very poor sequel. Don't waste the money.
