There was so much potential here, but just not enough writing going on. I get the impression that the studio heard "we can replace the actors", and said yippie. Problem with that was it's less story that in a video game, which is another problem, the animation is less than the first Tomb Raider game, which would hide the lack of graphics by making things dark. So they could have spent some time on an actual script, several of the episodes end, and then woosh you are in another place in the next episode. I didn't spend much on this, so I'm not to disappointed, so when I re-sell this, it will probably be at the same price I bought it, or less. I liked the character they chose, she had potential, as did Terminator Salvation, so many things right, but the wrong over took that. Dark Fury the tie in to the Pitch Black series added to the story a bit, this just doesn't add anything to it's tie in to Salvation or the Terminator franchise. Read full review

These are six short movies, which are better viewed alltogether in line, since they are about 20 minutes each. Moon Bloodgold's presence is the corner stone of the whole thing, since the enemies here are mostly the "mechanical crabs", so they do not look as impressive, as the T-XXXs models from the main franchise. So if you liked Moon's performance in "T. - Salvation", you may like this item, too, because her voice is there, and the model is somewhat realistic. Otherwise you may have the feeling that you have paid to watch the engine-based cutscene from "Starcraft II" of "Warcraft III" (btw, because I'm a Starcraft fan, I would put the Starcraft's quality higher - and just for the record, T.-Nachinima was released in 2009, a year earlier). Also the Termionator franchise fans may find some enjoyment in learning where "The Signal" comes from and muse if it was all a Skynet plot from the very beginning. If you are a die-hard fan, go for it just out of curiosity - like you have probably bought T3 anyway, whatever they have said about that movie. If you are just curious, then maybe you should buy the T.-S. game instead (or read the game's ratings first). If this is your first or second Terminator experience, you better go for the Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 1 because if you just watch this movie, you would not know what's behind it, and just be puzzled, why it's so important to shoot the mechanical crabs.Read full review
The Terminator series was ground breaking and amazing, not to mention fun to watch. This part was interesting but overall falls quite short of the greatness achieved by any of the films. Although at the time the graphics were fairly good, by to-days standards they are difficult to watch. I did enjoy the storyline, and how it tied into the new film. In fact the story is based on the lead female from the new Film-SALVATION. At the time fans swarmed this series of video game animated stories, but now it seems dated and less exciting. So if you are dying to see the bit of terminator mythology that never made it to the big screen you will enjoy this dvd. But if you are a casual fan, you could live without it. Look up the overview on wikipedia.
This isnt so bad, the graphics are very, very cheesy and choppy for 2009 They look similiar to the original 1984 stop-motion T-800. Good for fans that want a different point of view from a secondary character. Worth watching at least once.

it's a great little animation series that shows about someone else other than the story of john conner vs. the terminator. I like it very much & enjoyed watching it, it was worth me buying it.
