I was in the market to buy some current technology for fairway woods. I was already using the Taylor Made R7 driver which I enjoy hitting. I figured the fairway woods would perform the same. (Golf Digest rated this club good) I am not disappointed with the 3 and 5 woods and have found I hit the ball well with this club (straight when I want to and draw/fade when I need to). Very forgiving and nice weight to the clubs. I play +/-6 times a year for charity and buddy outings and found used clubs with current technology work fine for me. The only recommendation I would make is to go ahead with the Rflex shaft or something like that for the woods just so you don't have to swing as fast to generate the same distance. If you play a lot (or a good/average 80-100 golfer) I doubt the difference in steel shaft and graphite make that big of difference. No vibration or bad feelings with this club and would highly recommend to anyone who has a good game and needs the extra club for the long holes. The design on the top of the head is a little distracting so if you have a hard time keeping your eye on the ball you may consider a different wood with a solid color head. Any new fairway woods with good reviews will play well if you have a good swing so go out and hit those balls and remember it never rains on a golf course!Read full review
Someone stole my golf bag back in December. I had these three clubs in my bag and I was glad to be able to find them again. This version of the Burner Fairway is easy to hit and the distances are very reliable.

An outstanding offering by Taylormade. I just bought this one for my son, who is a lefty. I have the 3 wd and 5 wd and wouldn't think of replacing them. When these came out about 2 yrs ago, all the models available from the manufacturers at the time had large profile heads. I don't know about most people, but looking down at a large head when I'm trying to hit a ball off the fairway does NOT inspire confidence. These Taylor's were the only head on the market that were smaller, low profile and inspire confidence at address. The REAX stock shaft is smooth and has a normal kickpoint with medium trajectory and nice distance. Mishits typically finish with little distance loss and correct without too much dispersion. I have a stiff shaft, and when I go after it the ball really flies. These were so good, that all the manufacturers now make smaller profile heads.Read full review
OK folks...get some. Scott Piercy was using this stick in the 2016 US Open..TP model..need I say more? WITB saw him put it in the bag after a shot. I bought them after hitting a friend's 5 burner in this model. I'm hitting the standard. If you fight a draw get the TP. If you fight a fade slice get the regular.

This series of clubs are about as good as they get. I have been at this for only a couple years so there is lot I have to learn, but after hitting Callaway Big Bertha, Nike Zumo, Cleveland Monster and R5 and R7 Taylormades, these clubs hit the ball more predictably and further than any of these other clubs. They won't fix a bad swing but when you swing it right the ball will fly. And, for the first time since I started playing golf, I can now actually shape my shots. (not every time but I'm getting there.) These clubs have been made right!
