Pretty much as advertised. A little more wear than I was anticipating but a good set of irons, with out the huge new price cost. Just finished a foursome at our club and we came in first. Love the feel of regular steel shafts verses carbon fiber as the feel is positive and predictable. I am not a fan of hybrids as the club faces a too small for consistant contact. This set is all irons with good club head size. TAYLORMADE makes great clubs.

The reason I bought the clubs, they were used, price was cheap and I am 65 and I wanted to see the difference between a Uniflex, Regular and Senior flex shafts. My regular club are regular flex 2.0 Burners with graphite shafts. With the burner 2009 clubs the are senior shafts. The clubs hit fine but I can't much change in distance. So I went out to the golf course with all three types of clubs, 7 and 9 irons, there is apar three that measures 150 yards to the middle on the range finder, Hit five balls each for each 7 iron. the uniflex average was 135 yards, regular flex 146, and the senior flex about the same, nine irons went about 115 to 125 yards. I felt like the swing speed was the same, some swung hard and some smooth. The clubs are fine I would recommened them, like I said earlier for me it was experiment when I can't swing a regular flex club, I will switch to a more flexible shaft.Read full review
I bought the TaylorMade 1.0 because I wanted to go back to a graphite set and liked the fact that TM shafts are longer stock, and the lies and lofts were close to the Cobra set in steel I had custom ordered a couple years ago. The clubs were mostly what the company advertised, but the gap wedge yardage is weak at best. Accuracy is pretty good. The grips are the cheapest I have ever seen and they stink and leave a smell on your hands. I had to change them before I could play the clubs. Most of the clubs distance is comparable to the ones I had to custom order, so that and the length is a good step saved for the average player.
These clubs are great! I am a beginner golfer and i hit these balls pretty straight with great lift! so easy to get the balls up in the air! mis-hits are barely mis-hits at all as the ball still goes almost straight. You still have decent control and feel. You can move the ball into a fade or draw if thats what your trying for, and the feel at contact is better than most! GREAT SET! Also the distance, where i used to hit a soft 7 or strong 8, i can now hit a relaxed 9 iron! I have a friend who played on the tour, and he even loves them! they are for all levels of golfers.
I am a 8-12 handicapper. I was using Ping Zing 2s and thought it was time for an upgrade. This set is awesome!!!! Added about 10-15 yards a club. I have a swing speed of about 96 mph and hit the six iron 189 to 193 ( hit my 6 about 175 -180 with the ping zings)consistently on a ping fitting machine and it translated to the range. Let's see how they do in a round. If you swing hard like me it may be good to go Stiff instead of the standard uniflex shaft if you can find it.
