Very fun to play around with and it is very durable, (depending on the crash). Its' range is not as impressive as I expected, (around 50 yards or so). Using FPV the camera takes fair video quality but you will encounter wi-fi lag which makes it look as if it is taking multiple still pictures rather than a video stream. If the wind is kicking up it renders the quad copter almost impossible to control, light breezes are flyable. With the camera attached, I am averaging about 5 to 7 minutes of fly time per battery. For the price I feel it is a worthwhile investment for some quick entertainment!

So I expected only so so but was very impressed with how it handles, except in windy conditions. Easy to fly once you familiarize yourself with the controls. The 2 Meg camera also worked surprisingly well. You can take the camera off when playing or make movies or pictures while attached. You can put your smart phone directly on the remote and with the wireless function actually see what you are filming. The only recommendation I would make is get 1,100 milliamp battery for 12 to 15 minutes instead of the battery that came with it which is good for about 4 minutes. I ordered a 3 pack with duplex charger. After about 30 days one motor died, so I ordered a replacement set of 4 and hope the motors don't die too often. quite a bit of disassembly to replace motor

I bought this model (X5SW) after my Syma X5C got away from me due too pilot error and was lost. My neighbor found it in their backyard a week later and I told them to keep it and enjoy. The best thing about this X5SW is the "headless" mode. With that engaged, I do not lose orientation during flight and can get it to return to me very easily. I'm not crazy about the upgrade to Wi-Fi from the old memory card, because I'm too busy trying to watch the quadcopter to look at the video on my attached phone. Perhaps when I get more comfortable with it I will appreciate it more. For the price this thing is great fun and I would recommend either model for entry level operators (pilots), but the X5SW is way easier to fly for a beginner. I fly it indoors often and outdoors when there is no wind. Go ahead and get one. For the money, I don't think you will be disappointed.Read full review

Very durable, super easy to fly. The battery life is over 5 minutes (I timed the flights) but it felt like 2-3 because of the level of fun! The only draw back is the latency between the decice and the realtime location, it makes it almost impossible for fpv. That's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Purchased a few months ago. Ordered 5 extra batteries a week later. Used it 4 or 5 times at the local park but now one of the motors gears keep coming unmeshed so I have to take it apart to reseat it. That unfortunately only lasts a few minutes. Going to look into getting a new motor and get flying again. Camera is pretty clear with a little lag. Controls are fairly easy and range is decent. Nice product and cool looking. Would recommend
