This DVD player is compact, lightweight, and hasgood picture quality. However, the controls are not designed with ordinary people or logic in mind. The fast forward and reverse buttons double as volume keys you have to press and hold them to work. I had to read the leaflet that came with it as I couldn't easily figure this out. The door to load the DVD is spring loaded and you have to press down hard for it to spring up. A release button would be better. I gave this to my 9 yr old son to entertain him and he's uses it but not much. He figured out the contrls but finds them cumbersome. He actually is using it in hiss room as a night lite. Good value and picture quality but poorly designed controls

This is the 2nd one I have bought. The 1st one lasted me over 3 years playing it every night all night before the motor started to make noises. I always use the remote and never use the buttons on the machine itself. I have sleeping problems so this helps me sleep and I set it up on repeat. It fits in my night stand and works perfectly. Not only is it cheap it works for years!

I bought this Sylvania 7 In SDVD7027 Portable DVD Player from ebay as a last minute for a vacation that I was planning. I liked the idea of it being so compact and it really did fit in my purse which made it quicker to get to when going through security at the airport and fit perfectly with room to spare on the snack tray. It is very easy to operate and I liked the adjustable screen and with a added adapter was able to share comfortably with my travel companion.My flight was 2 1/2 hours and played perfectly on a full charge for the whole trip! I rated this product as excellent as it was what I expected and did every thing I expected of it...It is well worth what I payed!!!
I love this thing, it gives me the option to watch a movie at my convience. I can watch in the car or in my camper while my husband is watching regular t.v. and I can also watch a movie in bed while my husband is sleeping with the use of the ear phones. It has a clear picture and great sound. Love the case it comes with to keep it clean and easy to carry. My grandkids have the sony portable dvd and they even like mine better.
Many of these portable DVD players are pretty cheaply made. This Sylvania appears to be made of better plastic. Discs play with no rattle. And the controls are easy. Comes with a fabric bag to tote everything easily. Nice.
