I have collected so many theme nightlights thru my life that were made by designers and craftsmen that did not understand the concept of heat collection. They would make shades and figurines that did not allow all the heat that built up while lit to escape without burning the user and/or blowing and breaking the precious nightlight. I just this past November received a breathtaking ceramic tree nightlight with all the little colored lights sticking out all over the tree as if its branches were decorated with them. It immediately overheated and liked to have burnt out the outlet it was in!!! :o( I was so disappointed as I loved the light. Then I thought of this new led craze and bam! They were totally the answer!!! I will use these bulbs in ALL my nightlights from now on! They give off a lot of light like a good 7 watt nightlight bulb but with absolutely no damage to the nightlight!!! No fading or brittleness from overheating, etc. We can now collect and keep our favorite nightlights as family keepsakes. :o)Read full review

quite expensive which i knew in advance and why i say it's expensive is due to the fact that that the bulb could be at least the same brightness level as a filament type bulb, but this is half the light level, true it is a night light but could be brighter. The only reason i purchased the led type is two fold first they last by far longer than the filament type and to replace the night light i have to get a ladder and lower a very heavy assembly(heat fan and exhaust fans main light and night light) replace the burnt out light and put it back into place

I've been looking for a really dim bulb -- that won't be offensive on my or the neighbors' eye -- for the front of the house. This is more of a gentle glow, and less of a blinding glare, than anything at the local hardware stores, but still more than a 20-watt incandescent. I dont know how long it will last, but they say a long time.

These are very nice led night lights. The yellow bar seen in the picture is the light source. It looks good on or off. For just seven tenths of a watt it gives off ten watts of light as compared to an incandescent bulb. Previous led night lights were too dim. This if anything is maybe too bright for some applications. It is perfect for a hall night light. One caution, it is a little longer than a regular C7 bulb. If the fixture covers the tip of a C7 bulb this may not fit. I had to file a notch in the cover of one fixture to make it fit. I removed the cover on another. It looks good.

I was looking for a long lasting .6 watt bulb for a nightlight. These filled the bill.
