I saw clips of this DVD on youtube but didn't know what it was or where to find it.... turns out this "Supershow" concert had lot's of stars from the late 60's period including my hero Jack Bruce. Eric Clapton is also featured but just barely so don't buy it due to his name being attached... he may as well not been listed. This is a must have for any collector of Jack Bruce, Dick Heckstall-Smith & Jon Hiseman (Colosseum), Buddy Miles, and especially Buddy Guy. Also don't be misguided by the DVD saying that Glen Campbell being in it as it's not the same Glen Campbell most people would think of. I could go on and on but just buy it :)
This was realy a nostalgic music dvd from 1969.Great blues performance by Buddy Guy and Buddy Miles.Heavy el.versjon of Black Queen by Stephen Stills and a lot of experimntal jass jammin by the Modern Jazz Quartet. The audio and video (analog ofcourse)crated a feeling of realy bee there, back in 1969.A great "KIC ,and a litle melancholik for a guy who grow upp with this real state of the art musik. Long gone sweet. Leif Erik "old enough"
This is truly "The Last Great Jam of the '60s." However, when they said they remastered it they ended up with stereo or 5.1 that sounds exactly like the old tape it was recorded on. Vocal highs are muted and there is a constant "fuzz" sound that the Dolby button on old tape players was for. All in all, I would buy it again given the quality of the music being played.
It was interesting but not “super”. I was expecting more hits from all of them but it was a bit too eclectic for me.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
i grew up in my teens late sixties till the early seventies. No need to say anything less,i loved this concert.
