If you are looking for the same, tired embroidery patterns that your mom or grandma used, then this is not the book for you. If you want something new and exciting but with a slightly vintage feel, grab this book now. Jenny's designs are fresh, creative and fun. Jenny also packs a lot of information, instruction, and helpful advice in this book. This will be your go to book, no matter what pattern you are using. This is a great book for beginners, or for the most experienced embrooderer. Well worth the money and loads of fun!
I bought this book and its great! The instructions are easy to learn. There are lots of iron on patterns of many different things.(food, birds, salsa dancers, etc.) They are all fairly simple patterns,so if your just starting or your teaching your child to embroider this is a good pick. Jenny Hart really makes embroidery cool.
Unfortunately, all of the letters and numbers were all used up/missing. If I’d known that, I wouldn’t have purchased.

If you're looking for a good basic embroidery how to book, this is it. I hadn't tried embroidery since I was a kid, and was worried about doing it "wrong." I love how she gives you ideas and lots of creative lee-way, so the book gave me the jump I needed to get going. Now my fingers are happily sore, and my family got fun Christmas presents.
I am a novice at needlework (with the exception of needlepoint) and this book is exactly what I was looking for: instructions on how to make a whole range of embroidery stitches. It is clearly written and lavishly illustrated, so it's been pretty easy to learn from. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to another novice.
