season 2 is just as excellent as season one, even though it is not in HD, just got it yesterday, and watch ( the doomsday machine it was awesome!!!!!) the new special effects are as good or better than the first season! the picture look great its as close to HD as you can get being digitally remaster, the colors are still vibrant, my hats off to the guys and ladies that redid this awesome series, i know there some of you out there that are dissapointed its not in HD or Blu- ray, i know I was bummmed too, but i bought it anyways, and im very happy i did, it really is like watching it all over again for the first, so if going to wait for it to come out on blu ray, your going to be waitng quite awhile, i have season one in HD, season 2 is just as good with out HD, you really cant tell too much of a differrence at all, the one good thing about the menu sreen , is that there is no more pop out menu screen, that comes out from the side, you just click and choose, yers therre are still grafics, and the sound is in 5.1 dolby sound, so dont wait, get this its just as good as season one , you wont be dissapointedRead full review
I bought this product because I had watched the episodes on the internet and liked them enough to want to own the entire season. What I like about this product is that it is high quality and resists careless handling well because of how thoughtfully it was put together. The outer case is highly decorative and quite attractive to look at in addition to being logically constructed, the space it occupies being minimal in comparison to similar products. This product reflects the quality oriented desires of Star Trek fans the world around and is elevated rightfully to a much higher position than other products very similar to it. If you are looking for a very attractively designed, Trek-like product and not just some tacky plastic case stuffed with a bunch of DVDs, but is the perfect example of what can be done if the time is taken to do the best that is possible, this product is for you!Read full review
Having grown accustomed to the look and feel of the original series with its corny '60's special effects, I just popped in the frist DVD this afternoon and was a little put out at how this new edition makes it a point to insert graphics and other touches that almost seem intended to "jump out" at you: viz., extreme close-ups of the Enterprise passing by to show off slick computer-generated retouches, a new voice-over for the opening theme, etc. For someone like myself who didn't much care for the Enterprise space station-docking sequence in "The Wrath of Khan" (I think it was that film) or the saucer separation sequence in "The Next Generation" TV series, these new touches are attention-grabbing to be sure - which nay be calculated to appeal to a new generation of potential fans - but for me they were a trifle unnecessary.Read full review
Flawless images, More detail! Brilliant color!. Lots of extras like interviews and post production stuff. If you are a Trekkie, This is it!. I have seen the Blu-Ray version also, and I personally would not spend the money. On a 54" Flatscreen, these episodes look Great!. Only bad thing, (My opinion) They cut the Episode number and release date from the beginning of the episodes like they had them in the VHS Taped Versions, so you are on your own sort of, to figure that out) There are cards in the package that have the release date info... Trek Out!...
Fast shipping. Plays well, clean picture, good sound. Comes in a nice hard plastic case to protect the dvds.
