Some things i don't like are first of all the packaging. Very flimsy plastic holders mean the DVDs fall out easily and the holders chip rather easily. I can see why this was done, though. Making a set with 50 DVDs affordable wasn't easy im sure. The DVDs themselves are in individual plastic sleeves, though, and that is a nice added touch. I am also disappointed at the the lack of a booklet or episode guide of some sort. The episodes are listed on the DVDs themselves, but an organized booklet with some descriptions would have been nice. Overall, the DVDs are great quality and aside from the packaging, it's a great product.
Star Trek will always hold a place in my heart, so I must apologize for giving a biased review on the quality of the show itself. As for the dvd and case quality however, I feel I can give a more objective review. The DVD video quality appears good, no issues thus far (only in the early seasons though, their video quality was horrid when made so there couldn't really be a 'downgrade' in quality so transfer onto DVD wouldn't seem to pose a challenge) one of the disks had issue playing on my old slimline PS2, it did, however, work correctly upon a second loading of the disk. And I will point out this is not the only disk my PS2 discriminates against, normal DVD players play it just fine. As with many Star Trek dvd box sets the case is subject to sporadic quality. In the case of this specific box set the color scheme is awkwardly green and grey while my copy had a few of the 'flaps' overly compressed to the point of cracking within the larger case. Once opened and pried apart the case looks fine and no issues are visible when sitting on a book shelf or DVD shelf. I will point out I've had similar problems with all other star trek dvd box sets and movies I've gotten (except for the newest movie) usually it is of no consequence to the dvds themselves but occasionally a dvd is loose due to the bit it sits on within the case being broken off before purchase. On a few occasions I've had to return box sets for replacement because the dvds were scratched beyond repair. This seems unavoidable with star trek dvds for some reason, but thankfully it's not overwhelmingly common. Overall great show and good quality DVDs. Recommend for Star Trek fans or general sci fi fans. (the early seasons are especially great if you like cheesy sci-fi; the later are simply excellent no matter what your preference)Read full review

All seven seasons for under $60 was a great deal, especially when I saw people selling the 3 seasons of the original series for $75+ and other series for even more!
