The Butterball is a great indoor turkey fryer. It uses about 1 gallon of either canola or peanut oil, which takes about 20 minutes to heat up to 375 deg. Then you lower the turkey into the fryer and cook at 325 deg @ 4 minutes per lb. We cooked 3 large turkey legs in about 15 minutes and it tasted great. The turkey was crispy and seasoned on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. The fryer's light weight makes it easy to handle, but since its larger than most small appliances, it may be a somewhat of a challenge when finding a place to store. The parts are removable, so cleaning is a snap when using a degreaser. Also, it has a built in drain spigot for the oil, which can be stored until reused. Overall, the Masterbuilt is very intuitive, easy to use, and it cooks great. No dislikes, so I definitely recommend.Read full review
Hello; this deep fryer was given as a gift and came packed great! The turkey we had for Thanksgiving was done in it and we also baked one. The one we did in this deep fryer people were asking for seconds and in less time this machine made the best tasting turkey. The machine itself also looks nice and cleaned up easy! I would highly reccommend this machine both for taste and time to use it!
I needed more room in my oven on holidays. So this definitely made this possible. I really like this because its so much safer than the propane ones.
