I own 3 Squier Bullets and all are gems. The bodies are thinner (and therefore lighter) than a conventional Strat. If you prefer a hefty neck, skip this guitar, but I prefer a trim, easy to play neck, and this is the best I've played. Most guitar makers and players believe a heavier solid body guitar has more sustain, but I've not found it to be true. I indicated that the Bullets have good pickups and it's true for two of them, but I replaced the pickups in this Baltic Blue strat because the tone seemed thin compared to the other two. The fit and finish on these inexpensive Strats is excellent with nicely filed frets and decent hardware. That is NOT true for the tuning machines, however. They catch and stutter when you back off the tension and sometimes do the same when tightening them. I changed out the pickguards and knobs on two of my Bullets for aesthetic reasons, but I highly recommend replacing the tuners if you're serious about playing. I own two regular Strats and I now play only the Bullets. I prefer them for the light weight and slim neck feel, but I also prefer the tone of these cheapo axes. Cheers!Read full review

This guitar was sent with loose strings. Problem is the bridge because of the loose strings, the bridge has loosen up. The strings are buzzing on the neck. I'm also hearing something buzzing on the guitar somewhere. I bought this guitar because it said this guitar was all set up. Well looks like I have to spend more money to get this guitar to play right. Boy did I make a mistake on buying this guitar. I have put it away until I can bring it to someone to fix the PROBLEMS.

Where else can you find a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute guitar for under $500.00? Do not answer that because I do not care. I have the only one that I will ever need. I just spent 36 hours awake with my Custom Shack Stevie Strat SRV Tribute guitar. I thought it was eight to ten hours. Let me talk to anyone thinking about purchasing a guitar from the Custom Shack by Jimi Davis: Stop thinking and do it, period! That’s it. You are only delaying pure playing pleasure. The work is outstanding; the pictures you see do not do the beauty justice. The workmanship is beyond any I have seen in a long time. Mine arrived setup perfectly. The neck is gorgeous and moving up and down the neck is so smooth. If you are worried about the tone, stop worrying, it is there. The proof is in the pudding as they say. The tone from the pickups is outstanding. Plus you get extra control for every pickup. The tuners are excellent as well. Overall, I give it a ten for tone, ten for beauty, ten for the quality of the electronics and a ten for communication so he gets it just how you like. Shipping is fast and his packaging is extremely professional as well. Like I said, stop thinking. Open a line of communication with Mr. Davis and place your order. -Keith E. I'm a beginner with guitars so I might get a few things wrong. But I expected it to be setup out of the box. Turns out the neck had no relief so it had lots of buzz. I guess moisture could be the cause, it is hot and damp here in florida. The guitar only has a one way truss rod in it. So you have to loosen the rod and wait a day or two for the neck to bend. Also the guitar is a little on the quiet side I'll have to go thru the electrics and see if everything is tight. It's has a good feel but, not a great feel the action feels off might try and lower it after the neck gets set in place. I also put new strings on it - helped a little. Mike

After doing extensive research, watching guitar demos and reading reviews, I decided on a left-handed Squier CV Stratocaster. This is my first electric guitar so I cannot compare it to others, though, so far I am pleased on the fit and finish and how it sounds (using a Yamaha THR10C). Now I just need to stick with it, practicing chords, rhythm strumming, interlaced with learning favorite songs, to get the full potential out of this guitar that I have seen more skilled players perform.
