Spin-Dye-Stitch Breaks down the processes of spinning wool into yarn, dyeing the yarn, and gives several craft ideas involving knitting crocheting and needle felting. The illustrations are huge photographs, making it easy to visualize where the crafter's hands should be as well as how to hold the yarn and tools. Step-by-step instructions break it down and make it easy to understand, littered throughout with little tips to avoid common mistakes and how to fix them if they occur. I wish the book was more descriptive of combing, carding, and other pre-spinning processes. However, it does include resources for further information on all specialty niches- and even wool and yarn wholesalers- in the appendix. Excellent book, especially for beginners and those curious about wool crafting.
Just what I need to start spinning. Thanks. I have just gotten a spinning wheel and do not know how to use one. This book should help tremendously. Thanks a lot.
