The VCR does everything great except won't eject the video cassette. However, if you hold the metal flap door open before you hit eject button--cassette will exit machine. For the price, considering these machines are hard to fine & also is same as other VCR (can use remote on new VCR)--I'd say all in all a pretty okay deal!

This was NOT a new unit and NOT described as such. That was fine with me and the price reflected the age. The only thing I wish I had or could find would be the instructions on how to program it to record shows. I've never been any good at programming these things. I don't fault the seller as time alone would have made the original instructions vanish.............as they do here for me on electronics :) But a really nice machine in excellent condition .

This High Fi VCR works smoothly in all functions. Produces a beautiful picture and even better sound through my home theater system. Menu was easy to use without useing the owners manual. The Sony name means quality electronics in every thing they manufacture and this VCR lives up to that fine quality. I am completely satisfied with this purchase and recommend Sony products to anyone.
I love the way it was packaged and also works very well. No problems hooking up the unit,
