I was looking for a Bluetooth headset for my iPhone 7+. At first I hesitated to buy this headset because the look with it in ears seemed ridiculous to me. Actually the experience of wearing this headset is the most comfortable and convenient for me. No string attached (to my phone). I can’t even notice it hanging around my neck cos it is so light. I can even wear it while asleep. For the form factor and the comfort, I like to give it a 5 star rating. But the build quality looks cheap as it is made of mostly plastic. And wish it were resistant to sweat and water. The buttons placement are easy to get used to. But the need to press the forward/vol up button for like 2 s to skip a tract is not convenient. There is plenty of space on the neck band and Sony should add separate buttons for volume and skipping tracts. The connectivity is spot on. But I need to disconnect it for eg with my iPhone to connect it with my iPad. With Powerbeats 3 wireless it is not a problem as you just need to change the connectivity from a device to another easily. I wish battery last longer (now 7.5 hours as it states) as there is a lot of room to increase the battery size. The sound quality is good but not the best. The bass is strong enough but rumbles less than Powerbeats 3 wireless. The trebles are sometimes too harsh. Overall it is a good sounding device but not a great one. I wish I had the convenience of connectivity of Beats products with this headset, a longer battery life and water resistance. Highly recommend you if you are looking for a wireless solution for your iPhone without a headphone jack.Read full review

You can spend a LOT more and not get headphones nearly as good as these. Find them used or refurb and get them. Their noise cancelling capabilities are far better than the NC22 or NC33 that Sony currently offers. The bass response is great and, while I wouldn't want to master an album with these, for everyday use and for traveling (jet engines become a low whisper), mowing the yard (enjoy tunes without having to go deaf to hear above the engine noise), etc., there are none better. To make them simply awesome, order some Comply TX400 foam ear tips for them - the difference is amazing (most ear bud tips are worthless and the expanding foam increases the audible frequency range). I've done that and it's like having a set of $300 Sennheisers.
I have had two sets of MDR-CD6 headphones. They are simply stunning in their fidelity and design. Amazing sound, extremely efficient, lightweight, ultra-comfortable, and incredible passive sound isolation. I would wear them 8 hours a day while at work. The only tradeoff for the amazing comfort was the durability of the earpads which would last about 3-4 years of daily use. The foam is very supple and ultra-soft. Further, the foam was covered by a very thin, soft and flexible polymer membrane that would eventually crack and peel leaving only foam. The foam would then eventually degrade and crumble. Finding replacement pads is near impossible. They are worth MORE than their weight in gold. If you can find a pair you can probably resurrect them by fabricating your own pads. Good luck!

It was not as explained. Used condition with very low sound quality. I have used noise cancelling headset from Sony before. So l believe this product is not original or with defects. Didn't return because again it will cost my money.

I've had these same headphones for about 6 years now and I've got to say that they're amazing. Phenomenal sound quality. Amazing noise cancellation. I use mine for studying and doing work in noisy areas and I get constant compliments on them. Recently I had a pair go out on me (seems that it's a usual defect with some of these) so I tried a Philips pair and they were the most uncomfortable things I've ever used. The sound was good but I couldn't even give away those pieces of crap. So, I had to break down, pony up the cash and grab another pair of Sony's, and I'm SO glad that I did. I know they'll probably only last me for another 2-3 years but I'll get amazing sound, superior comfortability, perfect noise canceling, and lots of compliments on the looks. In short, these are the best bang for your buck that's out there on the market today!!!!!Read full review
