I am using it for 240p System's from NES to PS1 & N64. I use S-Video for The N64 and a Shinybow Scart to converter. The Picture is good it does have alittle bowing, but I did drop it about 4 feet on the ground so that may be why. The TV still works Asome. If you use the TV make sure you have Edge Enhancement on High or else it will be to blury. I like how the Genesis 2/Sega CD 2/32x look on this TV. I play Earth Worm Jim Special Edition for Sega CD. I have reduced the overscan on the tv too. The one problem with this TV is it about 180lb, so you may need help moving it.

I used to work for best buy's home theatre department almost a year ago. I noticed that this particular television set, due in large part to the sony wega technological advancement, had a picture that was in another league compaired to panasonic, jvc, and sharp (to name a few). Sony has managed to offer their customers the clarity and vibrance they need, without compromising energy efficiency! That was the basis for my purchase of the unit. I have been very satisfied with the overall performance of this alternative to the more inferior television sets I have researched. If your looking for a tv, this is the BEST BUY!
I first thought this was a great TV. But after a few days I noticed some things. After months of studying many sets, all from Sony & having mine repaired 3 times & exchanged twice for new sets I found these flaws on them all. On the left side of the tube, about 5 or 6 inches in & about 1 - 2 inches wide, & it runs from the very top to the very bottom. There is something in or behind the tube that distorts the picture. A still picture is fine but when panning from left to right or vise versa it appears there is a giant bulge in the tube that badly distorts the picture. Best way I could show the repair buys was to turn on a news channel with a scrolling ticker. When scrolled over that area the letters would get slightly bigger the instantly shrink & compress together. All Sony sets have this, some not so bad but its there. Some very bad & cannot be fixed. Another thing was when the pictures has a light or white background, on both sides of the set about 1 - 2 inches wide from top all the way to the bottom the picture was pink, yes PINK. When the set was repaired it didn’t help, was it was replaced it was better but not gone. I have bought nothing but Sony for over 30 years (& paid more for the name). Maybe the LCD or plasmas are better but the tube TVs are absolutely junk. Sony told me this is just the way the sets are. I do not recommend any of the Sony tube TVs.Read full review
With all the flat panels in stores today, people tend to forget that there are still very good CRT's out there. This is one of them. This 32" Sony has the picture, sound and features that you need - and can be found for under $800. A nice set at a nice price.
i have a 36" and it has to be the best pic by far. the down side is the weight of the tv. need a special stand and a strong buddy to help. but worth every pound.
