It's a pretty good camcorder with a few limitations. It's total memory is 4 GB, and it will only record a maximum video of 2 GB, and you can't expand it. Also the power is limited, a "built in" battery, so once you expend it, you have to recharge. (i have many digital cameras, all others with replaceable batteries, so if you're on vacation and out a while, you're screwed if this is your only camera/camcorder). I like it's size, easily pocketed or stored in a purse, it's functions are easy to master. The tripod socket is awkward, placed on a side, next to the charging/data transfer USB port, if you have a compact/pocket tripod, you're screwed for wide screen videos, you need a head that can rotate 90 degrees vertical. if you're going to make longer videos than 20 minutes, don't go 1080, drop to 720. Basically, this is a quality camera/camcorder with a few limitations, you have limited battery life and limited storage, considering you can buy 32 to 64GB memory cards for cheap as well as after-market li-ion batteries for cheap for other cameras. This camera is good for short excursions or day trips. Otherwise, you have to download constantly, and recharge often, the only faults i find with this camera.Read full review
I like the bloggie. It's a pretty nice little camera for the money. It's takes pretty decent video, the sound is surprisingly good and it's very easy to use. That in itself is a huge plus! The only downside, if you can call it one- is the camera for still pics is not the best. You really have to make sure it's focused and the subj is still if you want a nice focused photo. It would be great and a nice plus if the camera was awesome, but then I guess you aren't buying the bloggie for it's camera use, but for videos.
This camcorder has a nice features of auto focuse. And for the price it is good. What I wish it had was a memory expansion not an integrated one. Also batteries don't last forever so replacing it will be bad. Controls are easy to use but wish there was more. But very easy to use and well worth it.
So far I have been pleased with this camcorder. I have also owned a FlipHD which is similar but the Bloogie is better and has more functions and the viewing screen is much bigger. Picture quality is very good and it's easy to operate. It offers a good zoom in function which is nice when your filming from afar ie. football games etc. Sound quality is good but at times can be a slight delay when viewing your videos after transferring to your computer. Not sure if that's the computer's issue or the camcorder's. Overall I like the Bloggie and would recommend it to others. For the money, it was a good deal.
Pros: 1.Slim and easily fits in your pocket. 2.Easy to use. 3.Touch screen. 4.Fair battery life. 5.Great Looks. 6. Good Feel, good weight Cons: 1.Tricky to take pictures if your not use to the camera. 2. Low quality videos. 3. Easy to cover the mic. 4. Easy to cover the lens. 5. Weak spots in terms of sturdiness. 6.Inconvenient Design(Design Flaws.) Overall Opinion: Personally, I bought the camera for portability and to take photos with other people. I didn't want to buy some bulky camera, nor buy an expensive phone. If you're looking for something that's inexpensive, portable, good looks, make due with, and take photos with people(selfies),this would be your buy. Important Note: Make sure you practice taking photos and read the instructions, otherwise you might have a bad night.
