I got a great deal on my Bloggie, and only paid $60 for it. I have never once had to look at the manual because it is so easy to use. Not only is it easy to use while doing pictures and videos, but it is also amazingly easy to transfer those to your comp! It plugs directly into the USB port and you're good to go. Easy peasy! Also, it's totally portable and comes with a great little carrying pouch. I have a Canon Rebel SLR, so I was always having the issue of lugging it around and worrying about breaking it because it was so expensive. The bloggie has 12 megapixels and also takes videos in HD, so it's portable but also takes high quality content. I now carry my Bloggie around everywhere I go and now I'm ready when those impromptu Kodak moments come up! It's got the best of both worlds; small yet poweful. There are only 2 things I dislike about the Bloggie. The first is that the battery does not seem to last long. But, the Bloggie comes with a plug in charger so that you can charge it in any standard socket. Secondly, there is no light or flash on the Bloggie, so it is sort of useless in the dark. But, those are the only downsides to the Bloggie that I've found. All in all, those are things that I can overlook. But if you want to do a lot of pics or vids at night, I wouldn't recommend the Bloggie for you. But if you don't mind those two things, then I'd say get the Bloggie. You won't regret it. It's a great little camera, and it makes sharing your life on your social networking sites so easy. Hope anyone who buys it likes theirs as much as I like mine!Read full review
Better than the Flip HD. Focus is a little iffy in lower light conditions and automatic gain is horrible in loud environments, it will clip all the way down. if you plan on recording a live show, bring a separate audio recorder (goes without saying anyway). Video quality is pretty good, low light performance is good albeit a little grainy (1600 iso). I was most impressed by the image stabilization which smoothes out most of the jitter you get using such a small recorder. battery life has been good so far. size and controls are great. I would totally recommend this to any casual user, and even as an odd angle / situation for pros, like capturing video from inside of a refrigerator, microwave (off of course!) or such place where you can't fit a "real" camera in.
Picture and sound quality is very clear, bright colors in well lit setting like outside. Indoors, or low-light settings the video is grainy but that's just how cameras are. You need light for a good quality picture so I don't hold that against the Bloggie. Battery life I'm not too sure yet, haven't used it that much to see how well it last. One issue that I wish I can fix is the auto focus. Its works great when you tap something on the screen and it will auto focus to that within a second, but its also auto-focusing so if you're moving around with your camera recording then it tends to go out of focus and in focus quite frequently. You can't turn off the auto focus either. Other than seeing my videos go slightly out of focus, I'm glad I purchased this pocket video camera.
** Update - I'm still using this thing for quick videos and eBay photos - 10 years old!!! It appears that Sony tried to make a small camcorder that anyone can use. I only have one complaint, lack of information or instructions. The software is very very basic. I look forward to shooting listings and placing on my website soon.

Just received my Sony Bloggie today and I started shooting right out of the box without reading any manual, it's so easy to use and I can take photos while shooting a video, which was great. It's very light weight and small so I can take it anywhere to shoot HD videos. The only down side is that it doesn't include a flash and memory expansion slot.
