This is a "RARE" example of music that lives on today, as did most music that was produced in the Fantastic 70's. Although the 60's & 70's were trying times filled with turmoil and strife, this "entire" CD could've been written "Today" as we once again move into more violence and chaos throughout our country. As they say: "History Repeats Itself". As in the 60's and 70's, These times we are living in are also filled with chaos and "Simple Minded" provocateurs. Unfortunately, much of this is being recreated by the militant communists who are as delusional today as they were then. Graham Nash has proven himself to be a "Visionary" songwriter/singer who has lived on in his music and mind set.

I had the LP for years, but since records are long past their time I looked for it on CD. I found it to be as rare as Bob Seger's Mongrel CD and it is getting very pricey now days! I watched Ebay for the last three years for a CD copy for cheap and finally found it for a very good price. Bought it, and love it! It brings back the year 1971 as if it were yesterday! With Songs like Military Madness, Simple Man, Chicago and We Can Change the World you just can't go wrong! I had forgotten how many talented people performed on this album with Graham Nash. A true gathering of some of the finnest musicians of the time! I recommend it to the younger generation as well as the old.
This is Graham Nash's first solo album and is a wonderful blending of 1960s protest and love songs. "Chicago", "Military Madness" and "We Can Change The World" are anthems of the 1960s revolution for change, but are timeless. They could easily apply today. "I Used to Be a King" and "Simple Man" are wonderful ballads. You have to listen to this album over and over again. It plays with your heart strings and creates a marvelous melody. A wonderful album. The album is hard to find, which is a shame. It is by far one of the best solo works created by a member of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. A must for any record collection.
Dad was so happy to receive this CD, he said he played it multiple times on the car ride home after I gave it to him. Thank you. It was a replacement for his previous one that was broken.

This is one of my favorite albums. Have the album from back in the day and wanted to get the CD. I forgot how much I enjoy it and have listed to it a lot. Graham Nash is a great writer and the lyrics are fun.
