love this book, I just started making my own true bbq two years ago and had no clue where to start as far as method of cooking and recipes to try, so I started getting books from my local library, I found this one to be one of the most helpful, I loved is so much I had to buy it, it gives a very nice run down on the different types of bbq's available how they are used and what the needed equipment is, every recipe I have tried from this book has been fantastic. There is a recipe in this book that will make the humble hot dog into a crowd pleaser, when you can do that you know you are really onto something good. My co-worker brought some barbequed ribs to work, using using a recipe from this book. I literally licked my fingers. I didn't want to appear greedy, but I did ask for more. I am an excellent cook, particularly when comes to cooking barbeque--that's where the name "MsMama" comes from. However, after tasting his ribs, I realized there are some very good recipes for barbeque, and that this old dog needed to learn some new tricks. Not only does the book offer rubs, mops & sauces, it also offers excellent side dishes and desserts. I am not kidding, this is an excellent book. I highly recommend it, especially with the barbeque season just around the corner. I plan to buy a couple more copies, one for my brother & one for my son-in-law who fancies himself to be a gourmet cook. I believe there is something in it for everyone. I have several barbeque cookbooks but this is the best by far. I hope that I haven't convinced so many people to buy it that there won't be any left for me to give as gifts.
