I have well over 2,000 baseball books in my collection and without question I enjoy this book probably more than any of the others. It shows us not only some of the greatest collections of baseball memorabilia in the world but it also introduces us to the collectors that put them together and gives us some insight as to why they did so! Perhaps it is the justification of one collector to another that it is a god thing and of course looking at these great collections makes us envious. It also serves as motivation. The photography and production quality of the book is wonderful. I have been buying extra copies on eBay to hand to friends and fellow collectors as gifts.
this book provides a great pictoral history of baseball artifacts. it delves deep into some of the most elite collections. to my surprise, and very much thankfull, it educates the reader on how to judge age, and authenticity on game used items like bats. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. also check out a book about the late barry halper's collection, i wish i could remember the title but it was a book describing his items that were going for auction.
