This season was one of the better ones, it kinda got into the soap opera drama in the last few seasons and i began tuning out, but the action is turned back up and the drama turned down. There is still some cheesy drama that makes Smallville... well... Smallville... but overall a great investment. I especially love the relationship between Lois and Clark (finally!). This being the penultimate season I cant wait for the tenth and final installment in the life-story of Clark Kent, which I have invested waaayyy to many hours of my life into, and have been forced (though it's not a bad thing) to follow the show on its way out...
The SMALLVILLE Series, which is now in it's 10th & Final Season is the story of the Young Clark Kent growing up & learning his abilites, before taking on the role of SUPERMAN! This series is the best account of Baby Kal-El from the Planet Krypton that has ever been produced through a single source. An excellent Cast of Characters, great locations & set design, incredible special effects & a behind-the scene glimpse at many of the characters of the DC Universe! If you are a Diehard Superman Fan, THIS is a MUST HAVE! Buy ALL 10 Seasons, they are ALL worth Owning on DVD or BlueRay-DVD!
This show goes from what Clark Kent before getting his suit in Smallville. Not the complete Superman that he will become with the cape, tights and hero status. A great show with different plots.

This series has been so consistently good, its easy to give it high marks. Smallville is one of the few good things on the small screen. Production values are always top drawer and the music is excellent. Actually, the score is taking a front row position in season 9 as nearly every episode drops a coy hint of red, yellow and blue things to come accompanied by busy, nervous violins that sound familiar and promising. The "Blur" has adopted the family crest as a calling card that he leaves at the scene of his heroic "saves". This is a nice hint, but even more promising is a vision of that family crest on a red cape we can only see as a reflection in Clark's dreamy eyes. (Cue those giddyup violins again!) We've had a look into the future and its bad news for the planet, but good news for Clois fans. Life is full of these little trade-offs, I guess. But according to Season 9 (and according to canon) it seems as though "tights & flight" are inevitable for Our Hero and while he has been in a dark place emotionally, he now seems to be anxious to bust a move soon. Personally, I'm with him on this issue. I never fail to hang on the cliff with Smallville at the end of each season, and since Season 10 is reported to be its last, I'm expecting Smallville will keep its Season 9 promises. I'm predicting those violins will be very busy!Read full review
I grew up watching Superman on TV and reading comic books about Superman. Smallville offered a chance to relive my long-ago days and also allowed observations of how current day writers view Superman. The ninth season is the next to last season (10th season will be the last) and much of the previous eight seasons will be cleared up and addressed before the series ends. I had watched intermittently over the years so I choose to buy the ninth season and will also buy the tenth season. It is also nice to watch Tom Welling grow-up even as his character grows up. Once Lana Lang exited, then the path was clear for Lois Lane to take over as the love interest. With a few less characters, the story lines seem to be better and I can hardly wait to see "The Blur" become Superman. Overall it is exceptionally good entertainment and will be missed after the current season ends. It would be nice to once more encounter Lex Luthor and then have a final fight between the two enemies.Read full review
