I give this CD a 3 1/2, because it certainly isn't average. But it doesn't quite warrant a 'Good' rating. It could be good on the basis of the musicianship of Jello's back-up band, nomeansno, who are always terrific! They are a tight, together, hard, fast and melodic band. But Jello Biafra pulls this down toward average because of his penchant for bizarre song writing and vocals. Now sometimes I like bizarre, but I have my limits. He could have dialed it down just a notch or two or three. I did like "Ride the Flume" and some of "Chew". Overall, it's worth a listen and will appeal to the taste of those who like hard, fast, punk rock.
NECESSARY, SUPERIOR DISC - Jello utilizes penchant for satire & wisdom with fast, definitive punk - works excellently. Severe messages with serious yet wicked wit - several tracks among his best work ever. Another masterpiece from Biafra - you need this one in your collection.
