Joey Perrone is thrown off a cruise ship so her scheming two timing husband Chaz can gain.... what, well you wont know until near the end and the twist is that Joey survives, but instead of going to the police she decides to have a little fun, play with Chaz's mind and ultimately get even. I read this on holiday 2007 and could not put it down, a fantastic plot that twists and turn all the way to the end and great characters you can sympathise with and dislike in equal amounts. Great stuff !
In the first few pages Carl Hiaasen manages to get you right into his style. A woman gets thrown off a cruise ship. But she latches on to a bale of pot floating around in the ocean and it goes on from there. This guy brings out all the characters

Loved this book, loved the authors sense of humor. Bought it because it was in a house we rented in Florida, I had a chance to read it there but my husband did not so I bought it for him, he also loved it. He usually does not read books that you can laugh while reading...
Funny Funny book. Very quickly paced. Her poor old husband is a baffoon that continues page after page getting himself in deeper and deeper trouble. He NEVER learns. You will laugh outloud and cannot put this bown as you are so curious as to what stupid insane ill-thought out scheme this guy can come up with. his stupidity is endless!!!
