I bought this game because my little sister had been wanting to play it forever. It seemed like everykid in her school had this game and she begged and begged to get it. The retail value on this game new was over $40 It was something i just could not afford at the time. The game i bought was used without a case but in excellent condition. I knew for a fact that my sister usually loses the cases so I knew that this was not going to be a big deal. My sister loves this game it provieds lots of entertainment for her. She wants to be a vet when she grows up and on the game your caricter can be a vet. I loved the price it was under $10.00 and the game played and looked as if it was brand new. Plus if she gets bored with it it is something that the other kids in my family can play. So they will have years of enjoyment. I rate this game a 8 out of 10 due to DS games not having as great of graphics. However there is a good story line to follow. Overall highly recommended.Read full review
I had purchased one before and my children had played it so much on road trips and around the house on rainy days that they actually wore it out. Which is why I had to purchase another. I really think the best quality of this game is that children of all ages can play this game for hours and you do not have to worry about the recent splurge of violence and sexual references that have contaminated childrens games of late. The children played this game for hours and it appeared to have a vast amount of challenges for them that kept there attention. You can feel safe knowing that your children of all ages are playing a game that doesnt have them memorizing what gun blows up what bad guy. The game is about a person who goes to work, takes care of animals. Working hard keeps a strong work ethic in the game giving you a better experience and money (in the game of course) and improves your quality of life and items you can purchase, which I feel makes a subtle lesson about life for the children. I have seen two year olds play this game with a little assistance, and 12 year olds who have appeared to master the game, and both loved playing. The game is not difficult to play but does offer a few challenges to keep the older kids interested. My overall rating for this game would have to be an A+.Read full review

You get to take care of all different kinds of dogs, and cats to just giving them a bath and making them cute by dressing them up...or taking ex-rays and giving meds for the sick pets. You can build up to a ver large home and have many kennels to fill so your buisy all day. You can even make the local park pretty with benches, trees, and other fun stuff. You get to be a chick or a dude and dress them in different outfits. You even have a pet of your own to take care of, or play with it at the park fetch or teach it tricks! It is truly fun!
I just got into playing the DS again during the pandemic. I played this game as a kid and knew I had to have it again. It is fun and easy, nice relaxed play.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
My nine year old got a DS for Christmas and along with that came the Nintendogs. So we thought that Sims Pets might be along the same lines, but it really is not as good as I expected. Routines become tedious real quick. I have seen Sims played on PC, and was expecting something similar but this is quite limited in it's capacity to engage the user. If your child has already played Sims on PC, this is a step back, however for a first time "Sims user" or a child 9 or younger, it may be entertaining short term. Get yourself a deal on one on e-bay; don't pay retail, this game certainly is not worth the price the stores are charging.
