Ingrid Hoffman makes the Food Network sizzle with her love and passion for cooking Latin style foods with an American flare. She has the beauty of Giada and the peppy energy of Paula Deen. She defines "muy rico." Ingrid includes a list of ingredients that she uses to lighten up fat and enhance the flavor of foods. The book has about 125 recipes from her Yummy Avocado Sopita to Rum Chica Rum Chicken, Arroz Con Pollo, Caribbean Salmon with Mango-Veggie Salsa and Guava BBQ Sauce to her Wicked Chica Punch. This book has fabuloso color pics!!
I purchase this book as a birthday gift for my mother. and she loved it!!!! Not a bad gift idea if you are ever in a bind. this book offers an authentic variety of recipies from the well known author/tv show host INGRID HOFFMAN. These latin dishes will surely spice up any dinner meal. This requires the use of certain foods native to this area. Its not a bad thing adding a little culture to your life, so why not kill two birds with one stone and fill up your belly at the same time!!!!
I had no idea it was so good. The book is NOT a latin food book, is NOT an american food book, is a combination of the two with ingridients you can find at your grocery store in places where you do not have latin markets near by. I love it is great, easy to follow, and the recipies are quick and clear.
Lots of great recipes for Latin foods. Some recipes are a bit complicated and call for ingredients that are not always carried in your local grocery store. But with a bit of searching you should find most of them. Over all a well put together cookbook.
I watch Delicioso on TV every Saturday and couldn't wait to get this cookbook. It is all that I thought it would be. I can't wait to try the recipes, most of which are not difficult and don't require a bunch of weird, hard to find, or expensive ingredients (there are a few recipes that do). Love it!
