I love the easyness in which she teaches the new words. My children are encouraged to immitate by watching other children doing the signs. Songs are catchy and I hear my preschooler singing them as she plays. It does reduce tantrum for my 20 month old. But most of all, since my parents don't speak English, and my daughters don't speak Spanish, they can still understand each other by signing. What I don't like about these CDs is that they are so expensive, but I always make a sacrifice to get them. I guess its a great investment on our children's education.
This is the third DVD we buy from the Signing Time series and I have to say so far it is my favorite! Not only is my 21 month-old daughter is learning sign language but she is learning spanish, english and the basics of reading! I love it because she is learning to communicate with me and because I in turn am learning along with her. I would recommend it to any parent who wishes for their children to broaden their little minds in more ways than one.
I have a newer version and an olser version of signing times. They both have great and not so great with both of them. The newer versions are easier to follow, but teaches less words, or so it seems. The older version goes a little too fast at times, but it seems that it teaches more words. I like them both. Either version old or new would be a wonderful investment. Hope this helps!
My daughter asked for this item, but i enjoy it too. I would reccomend it, a a great form of second language Thank You
