This item was exactly what I was looking for. It worked well on my Sigma telephoto lens. The auto focus feature also worked and it recorded the metadata on the SD card in the camera (Nikon D750) what type of lens the tele converter has made it into. I have an older (EX DG APO) telephoto lens. This tele converter will only work with these types of lenses. Read carefully before you buy a Sigma tele converter. You could also call Sigma. They were great in helping confirm this would work. I am considering buying the 2X tele converter. Hope the image I have included came through. It is a very good item to buy, buy only if you have specific Sigma lenses.

works well with the 50-150 2.8 HSM II lens - makes a good 70-210 f/4 zoom. Like - small, light and easy to carry. the combination of the 50-150 and the 1.4x TC is more portable than a 70-200 f/2.8 zoom (though with loss of 1 stop). it's like having 2 lenses in 1. Build quality is also excellent. also, if you are into closeup and macro, it adds some magnification to the 50-150 lens. Dislike - none. the "new" price is a bit high. getting a used one makes more sense.
It is the older model of the sigma teleconverter but a great addition if your into wildlife photography. Works great much better then the 2x teleconverter where you need lots and lots of light to focus. Recommend this product. For its price as well.

didn't want to spend a lot to get a decent gain on telephoto length of my nikon 70-300 zoom, so i took a relatively inexpensive chance. it's soft and didn't focus consistently w/ the nikon zoom; i got what i expected pretty much, but returned it anyway for a refund.

This thing surprised me...Pretty darn sharp at max setting and wide open f2.8 on an "Crop Sensor" Nikon D300s camera
